Hiking in the Blue Mountains | Katoomba | Vlog 119 and 120

After a three-month journey bringing me from Western Australia to Queensland to New South Wales, my last four days in Australia have started. I’m in Sydney at the moment, and when it comes to nature, one of the most significant attractions outside of Sydney is the Blue Mountains. Therefore, I’ll spend two days in the Blue Mountains, head back to Sydney for another two days, and take the night plane to Jakarta in Indonesia

I’m excited to get myself back to Asia. I’ve already travelled over there but rushed through a bit. I’m happy to go back and get deeper into Indonesia this time. Besides, these are not my last four days in Australia. I’ll head to Indonesia to apply for a working holiday visa and spend the whole year in Australia afterwards!

The Blue Mountains

We were still on a hangover from last night’s dutch party, but we made it to the morning train, heading to Katoomba! We will be hiking around the Blue Mountains, a world-heritage-listed national park, for the following two days! These are called the Blue Mountains because oil-bearing Eucalyptus trees populate them. Combined with dust particles and water vapour, it creates short wave-length light rays, primarily blue. And, no surprise, you get that blue vibe heading to you from all the above lookouts. It’s a stunning place, that’s for sure.

It was a great two days, and I wrote these mountains on the list to visit again. We only got through the main walking tracks, and there is much more to discover here. The sunsets were excellent, but afterwards, it was time to get back to Sydney.

I still need to start planning my trip to Indonesia too. I’m pretty happy that I bought a Laptop now. It is going to make my life so much more manageable again. As much as I loved only having a phone and a small tablet, this will improve my accountancy.
