I am terrible at planning my trips | Sydney | Vlog 121 and 122

The downside of booking a flight ticket to a random destination? I have no idea what I signed up for or what’s waiting for me. Last week, in Coffs Harbour, I found an Indonesian banknote on the floor, and I decided that Indonesia would be my next destination. Consequently, I booked a flight ticket immediately to beat the heavy prices later. Since then, I have yet to do any research. Instead, I went hiking in the Blue Mountains and partied for a Dutch holiday. So, I’m about to find everything for my next destination in my last days in Sydney!

My last days in Sydney were hectic. I suddenly had to prepare for travelling to Indonesia. I had no intentions at all of going there. That means I also still needed to learn where I would go after Jakarta or my itinerary. Besides, I still had to do and see things in Syndey before leaving.

My last days in Sydney? Planning or not?

So, the morning after camping in the Blue Mountains, I woke up early to get my travelling life sorted. By 8 AM, I already had an itinerary for the first two weeks! Or? Not quite! Instead, I kept snoozing my alarm, got out of bed by 11 AM, had breakfast with the girls and played card games till late in the afternoon.

Afterwards, I had a stroll through some art galleries, had a last view of the harbour, and explored the area a little more. I’m travelling; I don’t have time to stress about things. Procrastinating is my second name, and I like to keep it that way.

My last day in Sydney was different. I did not read or plan anything, but I at least downloaded some travel guides on my newly bought computer. That way, I could take my time packing my backpack, say my goodbyes to the girls, and get to the airport.

In the end, I can always read on the plane. I’m flying to Kuala Lumpur first, have a 5-hour layover in the middle of the night and in the morning, I will arrive in Jakarta. I don’t know what the plan is, but no plan is the plan
