Oh, I booked an extra night? | Townsville | Vlog 72

I was supposed to go to Magnetic Island today, but I miscounted the days in the hostel and will have to go tomorrow. However, I was happy about it. There is nothing wrong with an extra day in Townsville. It gives me some more time to explore the area.

In saying that, I’ve booked and made my plans for Magnetic Island. It’s a beautiful island just off the coast of Townsville, so I’m very excited to go. Besides, there is a diving centrum on the island. It was to expect, but I enrolled in my next diving course today. This one will be fascinating, as, on the last day, we are diving into a shipwreck, the SS Yongala.

I spent the rest of my day wandering around and exploring all the stunning parks Townsville offers. There is a lot more to this place than I thought. There are so many birds and trees here that I’ve never even seen before. For today, though, I’ll stick to the parks.

I’m happy to chill a little bit. This trip can be overwhelming, and it’s good sometimes to take a step back and enjoy the moments. Another bonus is the fact that parks are free. Since I was already spending way above my budget, I like free things! That’s spoken like a real backpacker, and I’m getting the hang of it!

It’s such a fabulous lifestyle to travel the world. It feels scary sitting at home and thinking about it. I was so afraid of starting this all by myself. But then, once you start, there is no way you want something else. You are sleeping in hostels, exploring many areas and learning new things daily. Everything becomes routine after a while, and you completely adjust to it.
