I do sometimes get sick of this public transport | Java to Bali | Vlog 144

My last two days in Java were less impressive than I thought they would be. To put it short, I had a scooter accident in Banyuwangi and cancelled both trips. Instead, I’ve spent the last two days at the hostel, feeling sad about not being able to do anything. But I’m still travelling, and a traveller has to keep moving. Today, I’m leaving my fantastic adventures in Java behind, and I’m travelling to Bali

I don’t know how long I will spend in Bali and when I’ll return to Jakarta. Not to mention that I still need to figure out where to go from there. Those are things that I have to figure out in the next few days or weeks.

Travelling to Bali:

Travelling usually means much public transport, and that is no different today. It started with a taxi from the hostel to where the ferry for Bali leaves. In Bali itself, it took me two buses to Ubud, which is my next destination. I also had to split up with my travel companion as she was going north of the island.

By the time I reached Ubud, the sun was already setting. It was a good thing that the bus’s open door kept me entertained because going from one transport mode to another makes a day feel long.

I checked in at my new hostel and went to the rooftop bar and restaurant to eat something. There, I suddenly saw one of my travelling companions from my trip to Australia again. At the start of my east coast adventure, she was my first friend in Cairns, and now we meet again in Bali. I don’t know how it works, but the world can be small. It is not the first time I have rerun into people while travelling, but I’m more than surprised every time it happens. From being in the same room in Cairns to being in the same room in Ubud! An excellent way to start travelling to Bali!
