My trip to Indonesia was probably the most random one on my itinerary. I found an Indonesian banknote in a hostel in Australia and decided it was a sign. A week later, I flew to Jakarta and travelled through Java, Bali and Sumatra. It was the the hospitality, the pristine beaches, the tropical forests and the amazing hikes onto active volcanoes that surprised me the most. What a fantastic country! Hearing and seeing other people’s travel experiences can be crucial in planning your own trip. Seeing and reading what other travellers go through and how they enjoy specific adventures are the best guidelines for your travel journey.
