The wonders of the ocean! | Monkey Mia to Mandurah | Vlog 53 & 54

My trip to Monkey Mia started with what this place helped to get famous. And no, it’s not monkeys, as the name would suggest, but dolphins! I drove from Denham to Monkey Mia early in the morning to be in time for the dolphin feeding. Not long after, I got onto a boat trip to see both dolphins and sharks in their natural habit.

The area is also famous for dugongs (also known as sea cows), and we saw plenty of them, which made the trip well worth doing. The weather has been in my favour almost the whole trip. However, it made it even better today by being on the water. I had such a good time!

Monkey Mia

Monkey Mia was also the last place I wanted to visit north of Perth. Earlier. I split up the road trip in two. That was to ensure I didn’t end up in the north and drive back to Perth in one day. Unfortunately, I have already reached halfway on the way back. So, tomorrow it’s time to go the long distance back. I still have CDs that I bought to keep me busy. However, I’m getting tired of hearing the same songs repeatedly.

The next day I drove the full 900+km to Mandurah, south of Perth. There isn’t much time left for me on the Western Coast of Australia, but I wanted a little impression of what’s in the south. I got some friends here that I want to visit while still having the car. But first, being still in a boating mood, I ended up booking a sunset trip on the sea as well 🙂

Another great day, evening and sunset. It’s been such an incredible trip, and if this is what the west coast had to offer, I can’t wait to get to the east coast.
