This is the last destination on my itinerary; what now? | Perth | Vlog 36 & 37

I took a little break from my usual travel routine for the past two days. Day 36 was another full travel transportation day. I slept in as we celebrated the Chinese New Year until late, which was a great ending to this adventure through Asia. And then, after brunch and goodbyes to all my newly made friends, I went to the airport

After six hours of flying, I finally made my way to Australia. I have been looking forward to a moment since the beginning of this travels. Besides, I planned my five weeks in Asia leading up to flying from Singapore to Perth. But Asia was better than I expected, and I’m despondent, leaving it already. It will not be my last time here; there is much more to explore. But first, in Australia now, I got a three months visa, so let the fun begin.

Welcome to Perth

I couldn’t do anything yesterday as it was already late in the evening when I checked in at my hostel. But, on my first day in Perth, I walked around the CBD and saw some art galleries. Also, I was catching up with some friends from Belgium. They have been in Australia for two years now, so it has been a while since I saw them. We went for dinner together, and then they invited me to their apartment—a great way to start this adventure as we went for a midnight swim in the swimming pool. It was much fun seeing them again, and it was nice that they showed me around the city.

I got some great trips planned for the next few days, and I can’t wait. What comes afterwards is still a surprise for both you and me. My plans only got as far as Perth. It makes me a bit scared, but I’m also happy to have that freedom. It was something that I missed in Asia. Australia, let’s get this trip rolling.
