Walking the Great Ocean Walk | Blanket Bay to Cape Otway | Vlog 3

On the Great Ocean Walk, it was day three (Cape Otway day!), and we woke up with sore bodies. We are not accustomed to doing much exercise anymore, and today we really can feel that. The walk is beautiful, and the people we met yesterday had the same problems. Also, those backpacks we carry around are still heavy. Slowly, they are getting lighter because of our food consumption, but our shoulders aren’t happy with the weight. It will take a couple more days to get them on an ideal weight for walking. It doesn’t matter, we love our trip, and the backpacks are just a detail. It’s just a part of it.

Firstly, we had breakfast in the tent and looked at the 11 km we had to walk today. The day is exciting as we walk towards Cape Otway, one of the highlights I wanted to see. Everybody had already left when we got out of the tent. The real hikers go for their early mornings, but we just slept longer. There is enough time in the day to walk, and we are here on holiday. There is no need to rush us 🙂

The walk itself was perfect. It was the whole time beside the ocean and through the bush. Sometimes we got to a beach where we could drop our backpacks and relax. We got to Cape Otway, and there were our friends again. Instead of visiting Cape Otway today, we delayed it for tomorrow morning and spent some time with our friends. We all cooked together, laughed and had a great night. No phone connection is good, as it improves the experience. We ended up playing games until it was dark. See you tomorrow! Thank you for following along!
