I’ve spent a bit too much of my savings and budget in the last weeks. Because of that, I only took one day to explore the Whitsundays yesterday. It’s nothing too serious—just something I need to keep in mind moving forward.
It was an incredible day, and I’ve added this spot to my list of places to return to someday. That said, I’m not heading off just yet; I still want to spend some time wandering around the mainland. It might not reach the same level as the islands, but the nature around Airlie Beach is truly beautiful!
Airlie Beach
Ever since this backpacking trip started, I’ve been enjoying going for hikes more and more. It brings my mind to rest plus makes me appreciate all the small things. Also, I went hiking today and enjoyed all the incredible views over Airlie Beach. Besides, it’s sometimes good to spend time alone and reflect on what I’m doing with life. Now, in the past and the future. Afterwards, I went to the beach for a while. Of course, that’s how it should be at a place with a beach in its name.
Day 80, on the other hand, was a less exciting day. I’m back on the bus, heading to my next destination. My body tells me that it is time to slow down a little bit. I might consider staying somewhere for a bit longer.
At the moment, it’s pretty wild travelling so fast. Meeting people all the time gets to you after a while. Since I’m presumably going to play this travel game for another six months, it might be good to do so! I previously lived on the edge in my music career. My travels are not intended to do that. The opposite is true; I’m here to find some harmony again!
