Should I hire a topless car? | Magnetic Island | Vlog 74

It was my first full day on Magnetic Island, and I’ve been wasting no time! Waking up early in the morning, the first thing I saw was a topless car. These cars that look like they come straight out of the Barbie house are a real trend here. They will appear in most people’s pictures, and you are supposed to pose topless in them.

It’s one of those things that you have to do on Magnetic Island. I was thinking of hiring a topless car myself, but then in the morning, I was hitch-hiking, and I got to sit in one of them. No topless picture for me, but over and done. Topless car on Magnetic Island? I checked it off my list!

My goal today is to get myself to the remote beaches of the island. These are not reachable by car and therefore only visited occasionally. The topless car dropped me at the entree of a hiking trail.

Since I’m starting my second diving course tomorrow on the island, I brought my snorkel gear too. It will turn my mood completely on diving again. Not that I wasn’t in the diving spirits already, it’s probably correct to say that I couldn’t wait! It’s great because I’m discovering both land and sea at the same time.

My plan for the evening was mainly to find some rock wallabies. It was a great success because I found a hidden spot while hiking. There were a lot of rock wallabies, and I took so many cool pictures of them!

Also, the diving centre called me and asked if I still wanted to continue. They had to ask me because it was the day before. The other group diving with me had cancelled, so they tried to cancel the trip. Unfortunately for them, I was okay with a couple of private lessons.
