Meeting up with friends along the east coast | Surfers Paradise (Gold Coast) | Vlog 104

I’ve been exploring Surfers Paradise and the Gold Coast for the last two days. Today, on my last day in Queensland, I’ll meet with someone I met in Agnes Water. Back in Agnes Water and the Town of 1770, I had so much fun in the hostel that I kept extending my stay there. The group that surrounded me was just amazing, and I’m happy to meet up again with someone in my little travel community

It always feels great to spend time with familiar people. It happened all the time in Asia, but this is the first time in Australia, as far as I remember. (Except for when I met up with Thea on Magnetic Island after seeing her by accident in ThailandMalaysia and Singapore. But I think she is back in Germany now!)

My last day in Queensland (for now):

My day started quickly, as I spent some time swimming in the hostel’s swimming pool. Around midday, we agreed on hiking a bit outside of the Gold Coast. We had no transport, so we walked to where we would start walking! All in all, it was a perfect day, and we had lots of fun together. It was great meeting up again.

As that is how it is, a traveller is a traveller, and I’m already leaving tomorrow. After my last day in Queensland today, I’m going to Byron Bay! This time I’ll be going into my third state in Australia, New South Wales. A place that I’ve been looking forward to visiting! It’s not your average Australian town, as they have an alternative scene. It will be good, and the lighthouse is a famous landmark; I don’t want to miss it! I’ve seen these things in so many travel videos; finally, it’s my turn!
