Another sunny day here on my west coast road trip adventure in Australia! I’m leaving early in the morning today as we have a big day ahead. My first stop will be the Kalbarri National Park, and afterwards, an 800km drive up north. Slightly more than yesterday, but at least I got some music to keep me entertained. Let’s go and have some fun! I’m almost hitting 50 days of travelling, and it’s going better than I imagined.
kalbarri national park
I drove to Kalbarri National Park from my campsite first thing in the morning. I was still determining what to expect; I planned to visit without researching anything. Signs inside the park itself brought me to Nature’s window. A bustling and popular Instagram spot, but I had no idea. While uploading my picture to my account, I learned about all of this.
Strange enough, there were no other people there the whole time. So I got it all for myself. It’s probably mid-summer that does it—the hot weather and the fact that there should be a river passing through this Nature Park. No river, but still very beautiful. Of course, just like yesterday, it’s scorched.
Also, my GoPro fell to the ground today, and the backscreen broke. It still works, and I also have a spare GoPro that I bought in Singapore, but it’s still a bit sad. Let’s hope for the best, as I need these pieces of technology to keep making my blogs and vlogs.
After my fantastic walk and drive through Kalbarri, I’m ready to spend the next eight hours driving up to the Exmouth Gulf. It’s as far north as this trip will bring me. I also have to drive the whole way back to Perth and, if I make it, even check out some things south of Perth!
