I went back to Malaysia | George Town | Vlog 169

Welcome back to Malaysia. It has been almost five months since I left this country and went to Singapore. So many things have been happening in between. After Singapore, I travelled to Australia and started a road trip along the west coast. In addition, I also did the east coast from north to south before flying out. I went to Jakarta and started travelling through JavaBali and Sumatra. Besides, the last time I was here, I planned to return to Belgium by September.

This time, I’m here because I’m flying to Melbourne from Kuala Lumpur in less than two weeks. My plans for Australia? I will be working and living there for a year. What happens afterwards is still a mystery for you and me. But it’s exciting to be back, and I start at a place I’ve never been before. Welcome to George Town in Penang.

George Town:

As much as I love to be back here, it started with a night flight, and I’m not a fan of that. I would never do it again if it weren’t for cheaper tickets and to save time. Nevertheless, I got here, dropped my backpack, had breakfast and went out. My first day in George Town was to do what I did best. I’m a traveller, and I’m here to explore.

First on the itinerary is all the things in the centre of George Town. Or at least as much as I can see within a day. There is plenty of nature on the island of Penang, but since I have two more days, I started with the city centre. I often talk about itineraries, and I know that my videos sometimes look like I have one, but I walk around on days like today. I follow my guts and am happy to walk into buildings and markets on the way! That’s all; my first day in George Town was walking around.
