Six months is the limit, I bought a train ticket | Penang | Vlog 170

To set my writing mistake in yesterday’s blog and vlog straight, it is from today that I have three days left in Penang and not yesterday. Besides, if there is any difference between today and yesterday, it is that I have my first friends in Penang. We had a big night out in front of the hostel, and to get rid of a slight hangover; we had breakfast and lunch at a Chinese buffet place.

Now, as I’m good at it, drinking in the evening doesn’t mean I’m not here to see things and be a traveller. On the contrary, I went exploring straight after our little food excursion. I jumped on the bus, heading to the base of the famous Penang Hill.

The Penang Hill:

Okay, I might have overdone it. Most people take the mountain train up to Penang Hill, but I decided to walk as bravely as I am. It started great, but I underestimated the distance in combination with some very steep sections. I’m pretty fit, but once I got to the top, pretty exhausted as well. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my walk, and the views were worth all the effort.

I had more things on the planning for today, but there was little time left. I’m craving some rest, and I will be happy to arrive in Melbourne in, Australia and not have to move around for at least a couple of months. Besides, I saw some beautiful temples on top of the hills. Nothing too bad.

I was going to walk down the hill again, but seeing that mountain train making it so easy to get down Penang hill, that wasn’t an option anymore. As I said before, six months is the limit for me. From here, I happily skipped everything and got myself a job in Melbourne. However, I have yet to find one, don’t know where I will live, and am running low on money. Being here isn’t that bad in the end, haha. Once I reach Melbourne, the serious work has to start again.
