A city feels familiar | Exploring Brisbane | Vlog 98

I’ve been busy all day discovering places in the Brisbane City centre. After exploring freely yesterday, I made an excellent itinerary in the morning with alternating nature and culture trips. These days are great, and it feels like doing everything and nothing at all. But, then, I wander around for a couple of days every time in a new place.

Today, I’ve been visiting the botanical gardens and some of the gardens outside of the centre. In addition, I went to two museums, two art galleries and the library! It was time again to upload my videos to the cloud, and luckily, the Brisbane City Library had the best internet ever, so it didn’t take me long at all.

The city of Brisbane

It’s good to be in a big city again after all the east coast trips. It always feels somehow more organised. Unlike in some remote places, the shops and supermarkets are more familiar. Not that that’s a good or a bad thing, but convenience sometimes comes in handy. I don’t know if I’m a big fan, though, when it comes to Brisbane.

The city itself doesn’t speak to me. It’s nice, but it wouldn’t be somewhere I want to live. But then also, on the other hand, I need to be here longer to make that decision. Seeing a place in only a couple of days is getting an overview more than being there for a long time.

It might not be a place I want to live in, but I like the City of Brisbane as a traveller. I’ve also been trying to get tickets for the ongoing musical The Book Of Mormons. They do fast-sale tickets for only $20, but the numbers are limited, and they are still looking for a chance. That reminds me, if you still need to check out my Day 100 post, you can do that here. Yes, the day 100 post is already up because I’ve been posting slightly later to ensure I can keep up with the videos and the writing!
