I guess I didn’t remember how to surf. | Vung Tau | Vlog 23

It is my second day in Vung Tau and my last day in Vietnam. Time has flown by, but I didn’t feel that bad for leaving. I had a different feeling than when I was in Thailand and Cambodia. This time, I’m all right about moving on. It’s probably because I also got to see the surrounding areas. I did a fair bit of sightseeing in Vietnam. In Saigon, I even went on a food trip tour with a local and taught in a school. It was a short time, but I made the best of it. I’m coming back to this country, for sure! I want to dive deeper into its history. It might not be on this trip, but I skipped too many beautiful things not to come back.

Surfing in Vietnam

I flew to Portugal two years ago to get some surfing lessons. Today I took the time to teach myself how to surf again. It was a minor success. I thought I would still remember how to do it, but that was different. I tried to catch some waves, but maybe surfing isn’t for everyone. I’m not getting too desperate. I reminded myself that I was soon flying to Australia. I will for sure have another go over there.

I took the ferry back to Ho Chi Minh City in the evening as my trip would continue there. I made friends immediately in the hostel, and we played games all night. I ended up completely sunburned. A day on the water was great, but I should have used some protection against the sun.

Thanks, everyone, for all the great comments on my videos here in Vietnam. This trip is indeed getting crazier and crazier. I’m not planning that much, and these things come as I go. Let the story continue!
