I took a scenic flight on Fraser Island! (and it was amazing) | Vlog 95

This place is unique, and I’m so happy I booked a two-day tour. I only had one day at the Whitsundays because it balanced out the budget for this trip, and I’m so glad I did it that way. Another day was well-spent as it was another day on K’gari (Fraser Island).

It has been great, and it is so much fun to drive in those 4x4s on the beach. Remember how yesterday I talked about those planes leaving from the beach? Today, I did precisely that—what a fantastic experience and the first time I’ve done a scenic flight—no regrets as it gave me a chance to see this beautiful island from above.

More K’gari:

In the afternoon, we took the time to discover more rainforests and lakes. On top of that, it’s not just the tour that’s good. The island is treating me well. I’ve been having much fun with the other people on my tour. Besides, in the hostel kinda-place where we slept the night, are some volunteers working. We talked all evening, and they even asked me if I wanted to stay and volunteer. I would have loved to work and remain on K’gari for longer.

Unfortunately, since I’ve booked my bus pass, I do not have that freedom. I’ll have to keep that somewhere in the back of my mind. There is so much more to explore on this beautiful island, and I have already put it down as an ‘I have to come back.

All good things ended, and after two great days on K’gari, it was also time to say goodbye to K’gari. We took the jeeps, got on the ferry and drove back to Noosa Heads. Because you have to drive on the beach, the tides determine when you can go where and when not. Since the tide was earlier today, we had some time left on our way back. So, instead of driving on paved roads, we also went through some rainforests and beaches on the mainland! I’d been looking forward to these two previous days for so long, and it was even better than I could ever imagine!
