It is going to be an exciting day! Yesterday I already explored the coastline on Magnetic Island with my snorkel gear. But today is the start of my second diving course along the east coast of Australia.
I only started my dive adventure two weeks ago, and after getting my PADI Open Water Certification in Cairns, I enrolled on an Advanced Diving Course course. Even better, all the other participants cancelled their lessons, so I have private lessons.
Because I’ve been blogging and vlogging for the last few months, I bought an extra package. Not only will we focus on the diving itself, but we will also do some underwater filmmaking. The good news is that I can bring my camera and provide you with some footage of my diving.
My camera is only waterproof for 10 meters, and since we will be training to get to 30 meters, I can’t film everything! Next time, I should buy a case to go deeper with the camera. I’ll see what I do because these diving lessons take a massive gap in my savings and travel budget.
Let’s go diving!
In the morning, I took the bus to the diving centre. It was great; I felt confident. We saw many things underwater, and my instructor and I got along very well. He is an excellent help with the tips and tricks for getting good shots underwater! I only finished the other course, so this second diving course is just working on what I already learned.
The first day was a success, and I can’t wait for the rest of the week. We are planning to dive on the SS Yongala, one of Australia’s best diving spots. My instructor was still determining whether we could go; the weather around the Yongala hasn’t been that great, so fingers crossed we can go!
