It’s day 150, and I have to figure out my future. | Kuta – Bali | Vlog 150

In the morning, I left Canggu to make my way to Kuta. I felt like an influencer today. I took my computer and went to a bar with fabulous beach views. Like I did in Yogyakarta, it was time for a paperwork day. It was my second last day on my Indonesian visa. Today, I had to decide whether to pay for a visa extension or fly out. I’ve had a great time in Bali, although I can see how it is the perfect destination for a holiday to have a break from work. It isn’t my dream destination to be a traveller. So, I decided to leave. It’s day 150, and I changed my whole itinerary once again.

To Kuta or not to Kuta?

I got a plan, and I booked an overnight flight to Sumatra. Sumatra is also an Indonesian island, so I’m still staying, but it is not packed with travellers as it is here. In addition, I found a way to get another free visa for Indonesia, as I’m doing a so-called visa run.

My flight from Bali flies to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, where I have a 4-hour layover, and then I fly to Medan in Sumatra. I’ll go through border control in those four hours to enter Malaysia and officially leave Indonesia. That it will be for only four hours shouldn’t matter—backpacking in its purest form. I aim to arrive in Indonesia again and get another free visa for 30 days since I left the country.

It is also day 150, and besides sorting out my life, I enjoyed it. Kuta is a lovely place to hang out and has a fantastic beach. Besides, I can add another Hard Rock Cafe to my list, as Kuta is home to the one in Bali.

On day 150, I treated myself to a concert and a great meal. Afterwards, I went to the airport to prepare for a big night. I’ll be flying, doing a visa run and flying again. I’m sure there will not be much sleep in the next 24 hours, but I’m ready for it. Let’s get to day 151, as I’m sure many adventures will follow.
