Please, take me anywhere away from here | Bandung – Indonesia | Vlog 127

After spending the last three days exploring the ins and outs of Bogor, it was time for me to leave. I liked Bogor, and I’m adjusting to travelling in Asia again. It is more complicated than travelling in Australia, but that sometimes makes it more fun. My next destination is Bandung, about 100km East of Bogor. I woke up early, and the people from the hostel dropped me at a random bus stop.

I had to take a small bus north to the big bus station. Lucky me, nobody spoke a word of English over there. So, after explaining where I wanted to go and being sent from stop to stop, I found the right bus. But schedules here are different. The bus doesn’t have a specific time of leaving. They leave when the driver decides that it is full enough to go.

Bandung

Yesterday I did a city day, and because of that, I wanted to leave the centre again. It was already late in the afternoon when I got to Bandung. I walked to the hostel to drop my bag and explore straight away. I went back to the hostel and asked what my options were. They suggested calling a driver and letting him show me around the area of Bandung.

It sounded like a great plan, so I told my driver to drive me around for a while. He suggested going to one of his favourite places, an old bridge over a river. I had no clue, so we went for it. After driving for a while, we got to the bridge between all the rice fields. For arriving in the afternoon, it was a good day!

The Indonesian adventure combines seeing things and being happy to be in Asia. This time the experience is deciding where it brings me. Thank you for following along.
