Hitch-hiking in Malaysia #hikersproblems | Cameron Highlands | Vlog 175

It’s my second day hiking in the Cameron Highlands. Well, you guessed it, more jungle walks on today’s itinerary. That’s the main reason I came here, and that’s what I am doing. Besides, it was also the first day I made some friends, and we went for breakfast together.

However, only some people are as keen on hiking as I am, and after having breakfast, I went out by myself again to get through my jungle walks of the day. Today’s hikes are more accessible than the ones I did yesterday, but they are much longer. One of them will even take me out of the Cameron Highlands into the tea plantages. At the end of it, a shop looks out over the mountains. I can’t wait to get there and have an after-hike drink.

Jungle walk adventures:

The friend I made in the hostel was not keen on the walks, but I did run into some people during my hike. Afterwards, we even had a coffee and a snack together at the little shop. From there, we had to make our way back to the town. None of us had thought about that detail. So, as an only solution, we had to hitchhike back. Luckily, the people in Malaysia are super friendly, and it didn’t take us long to find a ride.

When I returned to the hostel, I met up with my friend for dinner. There wasn’t much else afterwards. The last two days have been full of hiking, and my body was pretty tired, so I went to bed early! Early, only to prepare for more hikes in the following days. The jungle walks are fantastic, and I can only recommend trying to do all of them! I’m happy that I came back to Malaysia and came to the Cameron Highlands.
