Pick a cool and fancy rooftop bar to have a drink | Kuala Lumpur | Vlog 27

Sadly, it’s already my last full day in Kuala Lumpur! Tomorrow I’m leaving the big city to explore some smaller towns on my way to Singapore. Kuala Lumpur has some great spots I still need to check out, so I’ll do as much as I can today before I go. There are many things to see here in the city centre. When I was leaving the hostel today, I walked through China Town to get to the National Mosque of Malaysia

This mosque, surrounded by 53,000 m2 of gardens, has a capacity for 15,000 people. One of its main features is a 73-metres high minaret and a 16-pointed star main roof. The mosque was completed in 1965 and symbolised the aspirations for a newly independent nation. It’s a must-do on your trip to Kuala Lumpur!

My last night in Kuala Lumpur

After visiting the National Mosque of Malaysia, I saw on Instagram that someone else I knew was in Kuala Lumpur too. Thea, the German girl I met in Chiang Mai, was nearby. After our big adventure to the Sticky Waterfalls in Thailand, we just had to meet up! It’s such a coincidence that we are in the same country after three weeks, but a different one than where we met! I texted her, and we decided to go for a drink together.

In Kuala Lumpur, you don’t just go for a drink. You pick a cool and fancy rooftop bar to have a drink. If you can, combine it with watching the sunset; I recommend it.

After drinks, we started thinking about heading home again. Thea was sleeping in a hostel in China Town. I was not too fond of mine and decided to change. It was a great choice because this hostel was soo much more fun. I also wrote a new full-blog post.
