Another travel video of Tasmania has made it onto my website. Today, I’m thrilled to share my Port Artur video with you. The video consists of two chapters, as I also split my itinerary at Port Arthur into these two chapters. The first part is about hiking the walking tracks around the Three Capes Track and the Three Capes Track. The second part focuses on my visit to the convict sites of Port Arthur.
I had a great time. The trip was one of my last ones on the South Coast of Tasmania and was filled with plenty of spectacular views. I’ll post a list of the things in the video below.
Port Arthur after-movie!
The Triabunna (Maria Island) bus to Port Arthur dropped me at the edge of the Tasman National Park. Afterwards, I hitch-hiked further into the park to reach the Fortesque Bay Camping site. After spending my first night here, I went hiking to the Bare Knoll Campsite on the Three Capes Track and pitched my tent. The story continued with hiking up to Cape Pillar and Arthur’s Peak, giving me amazing views over Tasman Island.
The next day, I walked to Cape Hauy and from the Blade back to the Fortescue Bay camping site. It was late, and after spending the night here, I went to Cape Raoul. My itinerary allowed me to visit the Historical sites in the following two days. Before making my way back to Hobart, I took a boat trip to see all these cliffs and islands from at sea.
