Travel Video: Phillip island | Victoria, Australia | #hiking

Looking back at my travels and maybe even my life, I’ve always done things differently than most people do. That’s no different when it comes to visiting Phillip Island. When I lived in Melbourne for five months, many people took day trips to Phillip Island to see the famous penguin parade. In short, an expensive trip to see tiny penguins surrounded by many people return to their homes. That’s what Phillip Island is renowned for, and that’s what everybody did.

Now, Besides the fact that you can see the penguins in Melbourne for free and that I already saw them on King Island and Bruny Island without anyone else surrounding me, I’ve decided not to take a day trip to Phillip Island.

Instead, I knew what to do when I arrived in Melbourne for the third time. I booked a place to sleep on the island and explored it for multiple days. Back then, I was still determining what would follow after Melbourne. The island was an excellent way to figure out the future of my travels.

Phillip Island

My main activity on the island *surprise, surprise* was hiking the fantastic coastline. I didn’t go to the penguins on the island but instead saw all the stunning landscapes the island offers. Besides, I also made side trips to the main town and even the local chocolate factory! During my hikes, I often listened to audiobooks. It allowed me to wind down from my previous adventures and figure out the following chapters.

Now, I’m in Adelaide, preparing for my next adventure and trying to catch up with all the travel videos and travel guides I still want to make. There was so much more to see on Phillip Island, and that’s what my video is all about!
