I made my first official backpacker friend! | Bangkok | Vlog 3

Hi, and welcome to the third blog and vlog of my world travels! For those that just tuned in, it’s my second day in Bangkok, Thailand and the third one actually travelling! Newsflash: Besides all the great things I did and saw today, I made my first official backpacker friend! #goals

I woke up from a big night out, went downstairs, and a European-looking girl (they are easy to spot here) was having breakfast alone. I asked if I could join her, and it worked out that she was also travelling alone! It even worked out that she happened to be from the Netherlands, and after we exchanged contact details, we discovered that we had some mutual friends. The world is a small place, don’t you think?

My first friends:

My first friend on this trip: Charlotte from the Netherlands! She plays the saxophone and is on a 3-month journey across Southeast Asia. We have similar plans, but not on the exact dates. Hopefully, we can hang around with the for a while. Being alone is weird, because I’m never alone, the people just seem to change easily. Other plans? Bye!

Bangkok:

I still needed to set a plan for today, so we agreed on a few things in both our itineraries. My first tuk-tuk ride, and off we were! In the afternoon, I checked in, in the first dorm room on these travels. This whole travel thing will be one big adventure, that’s for sure! Charlotte wanted to go somewhere else in the afternoon, so we agreed to meet each other the day after again. I soon met another traveller also going to Chinatown, so we did that together! Tonight I also wrote my first official blog post (I guess this is a vlog post): the first days of my trip around the world!
