Yesterday‘s night out was enormous. However, I deserved it as it was one of my last nights out. My following destinations, including the Cameron Highlands, where I’m going today, would have little nightlife. Besides, I’m currently running on my last bit of savings.
Next week, I’ll arrive in Melbourne with about enough to survive two or three weeks. I’ll have to start saving up from zero again from that point onward.
Unfortunately, at the moment, I still need to get a job lined up. So, it is still a question of how that will work out. But as I said in earlier posts, I’m optimistic about my travels providing for themselves whenever I need it the most.
On the other side, I’m looking into hostels where I could work for accommodation. That way, you work about three hours a day, making beds and doing other hostel maintenance-related jobs without getting paid.
In return, they offer you a sleeping place and extra staff-related advantages like free laundry. If I only had to buy food and not pay rent, I could stay at least six weeks without a job, giving me some extra time to figure out my travelling future.
Next Destination: the Cameron Highlands
It was early this morning, but the party mood was still there. I’m leaving for the Cameron Highlands, and some friends woke up to say their goodbyes. The Cameron Highlands is one of the two destinations I wanted to visit the first time I was in Malaysia.
Besides the cheaper flight tickets from Kuala Lumpur to Melbourne, these destinations are the main reasons I came back. Although, little will happen today, as taking a boat and a couple of buses will keep me busy the whole day. It is one of those travelling days. From tomorrow onwards, we are in for some great hikes!
