This is the reason why I travel around the world

We had such a fantastic day yesterday! Together with two girls, I met in my homestay; we explored the rainforest on a personalized tour. We followed along a river in the forest and got into the water wherever possible. At first, our tour guide said that we couldn’t do a separate tour today, as they needed more guides, but when we arrived, he brought us the excellent news this morning. They managed to find another person to take us further on our tour. Besides, we usually would have gone with the standard tour in the Pangandaran Green Canyon; lucky us, we are combining both!

These two days are one of the highlights of everything I did in Asia. Comparing it to my Australian adventures is complicated; this is different! But when it comes to Asia, this has been overwhelming.

Pangandaran Green Canyon:

In the morning, we took a boat into the Pangandaran Green Canyon. Firstly, what a fantastic sight. This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Secondly, even the boat was a little adventure. The boat was an old fisher boat and not a fancy motorboat. We walked out of the Pangandaran Green Canyon, passing some great places to swim and jump into the water. From here, our guide took us on our own experiences.

We got to a river again when we got out of the Canyon. We walked along with it to the best places for jumping into the water. I say that as if this was a short trip, but it went on for hours. Afterwards, we returned to the Pangandaran Green Canyon, where we went out of the Canyon by the second tour boat.

I got home from the tour pretty early, considering how many things we did today and how amazing it was. Besides, tomorrow I’m on the move again, and I want to know what I’m up for in the following days! I went to a local park and wildlife reserve to find some Javanese animals for the rest of my time.
