I went canyoning in Indonesia (And it was amazing!) | Pangandaran | Vlog 131

I came to this destination in the south of Java to tour the Pangandaran rainforest. Lucky me, I met two girls in my homestay with the same plan, and we hired a guide for two days together. The commercial tour didn’t work with what we wanted to do, so we made a personalised itinerary with our guide for today.

Tomorrow there wasn’t an option to do it personalised so that we will join in with the rest of the DinDin tour. Today is day two in Pangandaran, and after exploring the beaches yesterday, today will be a day full of adventure. It is going to be fun! We will walk along the river in the rainforest, and I can’t wait.

Pangandaran Rainforest tour

We hired scooters from the homestay to drive to our start destination. It ended up being a long drive, and it was the first time for me in months on a scooter. On the other hand, it was also a stunning drive that got us warmed up for what the day would bring. We arrived, met our guide in real life and started walking into the rainforest. But we are not here to walk. We could have done that with every tour. We are here to follow the river through the rainforest.

We got into the river and slowly started to make our way down. Today’s goal was to visit the caves on the way and swim along the waterfalls. But, in reality, we ended up doing a real canyoning tour. Everything that came afterwards was just exceptional.

No wonder why our tour guide said yesterday he already had a great plan worked out, and we would love our Pangandaran rainforest tour. However, he also said these places are usually only explored by locals as they try to keep the tourists out of these secret places. I wonder if it’s true. But I’ve had a fabulous day, and I can’t wait for tomorrow!
