Bucket list item: visiting the Sydney Harbour | Vlog 115 and 116

I took the night bus from Canberra to arrive here early morning, ready for my adventure. I’ve been saying multiple times that those night buses are terrible for a rested traveller, but it didn’t matter for the last two days. I was full of energy. I was even happily surprised to arrive here on Anzac Memorial Day! It took me about three months of travelling around Australia to get to Sydney finally.

After three months, I didn’t even have time to check the Sydney Harbour out on the first day, but I went wondering and enjoying the celebrations instead. How could I have known there would be festivities, activities, and parades around the city? Such great timing, and what a great city! It’s like the New York City of Australia, and I’m in love with it.

Sydney Harbour:

I took plenty of time to check out Sydney Harbour on the second day in Sydney. Yes, I’ve made it to the Opera House, a milestone in these travels! And, of course, there is not only the Opera House, but the Harbour and the Harbour Bridge are also excellent.

Today was a great day, one never to forget! It was a great and packed day, getting the Harbour from all different angles and even getting those perfect Instagram sunset shots. It’s all part of the game, and I’m in the middle. I am living the dream.

I’ve made it to the Sydney Habour, but it will not be my last time in Australia. It’s time to bring you the big news! I’ve already told you that I found an Indonesian banknote in Coffs Harbour, so my travels will continue in Indonesia! So, I booked my flights, and I will apply for my Working Holiday Visa once I arrive!

Yes, with this, I’ve said it! If everything works out well, I’ll fly back to Australia on the first of July, six months after leaving Belgium, to spend the whole year here. It will combine working and travelling, allowing me to save again and explore all the parts I have yet to go. Isn’t that exciting? 🙂
