I took the overnight bus from Canberra and arrived here early in the morning, ready for my adventure. I’ve mentioned multiple times that those overnight buses are terrible for getting proper rest as a traveller, but it didn’t matter for the past two days. I was filled with energy. I was even pleasantly surprised to arrive here on Anzac Memorial Day! It took me about three months of travelling around Australia to finally reach Sydney.
After three months, I didn’t even have time to explore Sydney Harbour on the first day. Instead, I went wandering around and enjoying the celebrations. How could I have known there would be festivities, activities, and parades throughout the city? What incredible timing! It’s like the New York City of Australia, and I’m completely in love with it.
Sydney Harbour:
On my second day in Sydney, I took plenty of time to explore Sydney Harbour. Yes, I’ve made it to the Opera House—a true milestone on this journey! And of course, the Harbour itself and the iconic Harbour Bridge are equally spectacular.
It was an unforgettable day! The entire experience was incredible—exploring the Harbour from every angle and capturing those perfect sunset shots. It’s all part of the journey, and I’m right in the thick of it, living the dream.
I’ve reached Sydney Harbour, but this won’t be my last visit to Australia. It’s time for some exciting news! I’ve already mentioned finding an Indonesian banknote in Coffs Harbour, which means my travels will continue in Indonesia! I’ve already booked my flights, and I’ll be applying for my Working Holiday Visa once I arrive!
Yes, I’ve officially announced it! If everything goes according to plan, I’ll return to Australia on the first of July, six months after leaving Belgium, to spend an entire year here. This year will be a combination of working and travelling, giving me the chance to save again and explore all the regions I haven’t yet visited. Isn’t that incredibly exciting? 🙂
