Assembling this video reminded me of editing vlog 1. The day itself doesn’t seem that exciting on video, but these days are kinda thrilling! Above all, I left my first country behind and travelled from Thailand to Cambodia. I Mean, we are no longer at the very start of this trip, it’s chapter two!
It was a very long drive, and we also spent a couple of hours at the border checkpoint, but we made it! The countryside views were great, and I even made friends travelling in the same direction. There are travel days and transit days. Firstly, the days when you see everything and live your best life. And secondly, the days where you focus on getting from one point a to b. This balance will be something to normalize and just the way that my travel will go.
Thailand to Cambodia:
Sitting on the bus got me thinking a lot, and I started regretting my decision to plan out my first weeks back at home. Yes, it brought me a good overview of what I wanted to do, but this way, I was limited in making last-minute plans. There was so much more to see in Thailand; and I was still deciding whether to leave. Unfortunately, I booked planes for later in my trip and already made my visa applications, so I need to get there in time! Of course, I’m also excited to go from Thailand to Cambodia. It’s something I just need to do differently in the future.
I got to the hostel in Siem reap, and it looks perfect. It’s just incredible how all these hostels focus so much on life in the outdoors. In addition to that, I’m really getting used to the atmosphere and the best ways to make friends. But it’s getting late, and I’m going to bed! Love you all.
