Becoming a travel blogger | This is one big unreal absolute dream!

Time has been flying by incredibly fast here. Almost an entire month has passed since my departure. Yet, that month feels more like a week. January is slowly coming to an end now, and I can’t believe I’ve been travelling alone this entire time. I even need help comprehending January because the temperature has never dropped below 30 degrees—so different from what I’m used to at this time of year. It truly is a dream!

Things are going wonderfully! I’m trying to figure out where to begin when sharing stories from the past few days. From being initiated by a monk to teaching music to children, wandering through Kuala LumpurHo Chi MinhPhnom Penh, and countless other places—witnessing a sunrise at Angkor Wat or a sunset at Petronas Towers represents just a small glimpse of what life has been bringing me!

Luckily for both you and me, I’m quite consistent at posting my daily videos and blogs. This way, you can follow my journey, and I can also keep track of when, where, and with whom I’ve spent each day. I haven’t yet had time to fully process these experiences; for now, life and everything in it feels like one big, beautiful, unreal dream.

The solo travelling dream:

Did I mention travelling alone? You could split that phrase into two words because we all travel here as one! Every day, even in the most remote places, we travellers connect with each other—for a day, sometimes several days, or sometimes just an hour spent together. Sharing a meal, grabbing a drink, riding the bus, sightseeing, or simply lounging by the pool is what our days look like here.

We don’t judge based on appearances or backgrounds. Where you’re from, why you travel solo, or any other arbitrary distinctions simply don’t matter. The moments we spend alone here are intentional—times we consciously choose for ourselves. These are the moments when you’ve had enough of small talk or can no longer distinguish between the ten people you met that day.

Oh yeah, did I mention the cold showers in the hostels? Or the people who flip on the lights with plenty of noise in the middle of the night? Or the hostels where cockroaches scurry across the floor? The long, uncomfortable bus rides? Or the backpack you sometimes have to lug around all day in this heat? Not at all! 🙂 I’m living the dream! Life here is simply too wonderful, so we gladly embrace these minor inconveniences! Although, I suppose now I’ve told you anyway 😀
