After spending the last two weeks back in Melbourne and exploring the region a little more, I have found myself back on King Island. Firstly, I would like to give a big shoutout to Nick and Issy. Thank you for having me sleep on your couch in Melbourne!
Secondly, coming back was different from my original plan. I’ve kept close contact with the band members and started to miss playing music. With an upcoming Yentl As Anything Reunion concert, a two-week break from my travels and playing some music is a good idea. Besides, I will also be working for the next two weeks at King Island Dairy as some savings will be good for me in the following months.
Yentl As Anything: Reunion Concert
The band was itching to get back together for a gig, and this post will be the official announcement for that first Yentl As Anything Reunion concert on the 23rd of April in the King Island Club. The entrance is free, and we booked a DJ to keep the party going even after the band stops playing, so spread the worth! Besides, I wasn’t away that long, but catching up with my friends over here is still great. It is my family on the other side of the world. Treating them on a gig is the least I can do.
After spending about 14 months on the island, I got so used to playing music every Sunday at Wade’s studio. In addition, I was also invited to lead King Island’s Anzac Memorial Day Parade. Honestly, the way things are going now, with so many new songs in such a short amount of time, there might be other reunion concerts that we will do. You can feel that we have played together for over a year. It feels like coming home.
