Okay, so I did extend my stay in this hostel again. Today, we organised a morning trip I wanted to attend. For the past two days, I’ve been biking around Agnes Water and the Town of 1770, which was awesome. And then, yesterday, in the evening, we decided to take the car for sunrise at Springs Beach with some people.
We all woke up early this morning, which was very painful as we didn’t go to bed early, but also worth it. It must have been a weird sight for some other travellers as suddenly half of the hostel left together. But we made it for sunrise at Springs Beach, which was great.
The whole day was great and also something I needed. We brought breakfast and lunch (yes, we did that before we left, so it was earlier than in the video). We spent the entire day exploring and sitting together on the beach.
Besides that, we also went for swims. A lovely rest day, that’s for sure. It’s good to spend some time with the same people. It gave me time to bond more with them, listen to their stories and make friends that will last longer than the day. It only shows the importance of being surrounded by the right people. Springs Beach wasn’t that exciting, but with the right people, it’s priceless.
What’s next?
Tomorrow, I am planning to leave. My visa is running out in less than two months, and so is my bus pass. I had a great time here, but I have to keep exploring. When we got home from our trip, I thought about the rest of my itinerary.
It is official now; I have to come back to Australia. The best I can do for this trip is make it to Sydney. There is little time to get to Melbourne. Also, Tasmania and the Northern Territory are impossible for now. The only thing that keeps going around is whether I should ask for another tourist visa or seek a working visa. Coming back later is also an option, but I prefer something else. I am here now; I should keep going!
