Wait, what? We are going to dive on Fitzroy Island?

I’m completely in love with my travel lifestyle. I’m travelling through Australia, seeing Cairns, and now I am also learning to become a diver. The best is that I’m the worst planner; even if I plan things, I need to read more into the details. It is just great, and today I suddenly went to Fitzroy Island! I constantly get surprised.

When enrolling in my diving course, I had no idea it would bring me to Fitzroy Island. I thought that all the first dives would be from Cairns itself. But, this morning, we took the boat to Fitzroy Island to dive off the shore. Keep those surprises coming, please! It’s what makes this lifestyle so unique!

Unfortunately, I can’t film anything from the diving course since I’m still training. In saying that, we are all so obsessed with seeing the underwater world. As soon as our lessons finish, we go back into the water with the snorkelling gear to keep exploring. The footage in the video, therefore, comes from the free moments we have snorkelling.

The weather today was amazing and kept us going the whole day! Did you ever wake up not knowing anything about an island, and suddenly you spend the entire day there? Such a great experience to be here.

Last, if this is what the outer reef offers us, I can’t wait to go to the Great Barrier Reef. It’s so much fun to dive, and I’m already looking into my possible following diving destinations.

A big bonus is that our group and our instructor are fantastic. Nothing to complain about over here in Australia! Thanks for following along, and I’ll keep you posted with future updates!
