There is no water in Pink Lake? | Sandy Gully to Kalbarri | Vlog 47

I’m already getting used to road-tripping, and we left early in the morning. There are no secrets here; it is my car and me, and therefore it’s we from now on. I’m also considering buying a vehicle afterwards. It’s cool to drive around, but I’ll see what I do once I get to the east coast. Buying a car for two months is unnecessary, as getting around in the east is easier.

For now, I’m happily enjoying it. I also bought a few CDs at a fuel station as there is little radio between the towns. This way, I have something to listen to while driving long distances. Listening to the same songs over and over is also not everything, but better than nothing!

Road-tripping to the Pink Lake:

We (my car and me) made our first stop today at the Huff Lagoon Pink Lake. It’s mid-summer in Australia, and it was pretty dry. I would like to know if some of the other lakes I have planned will have water. I didn’t think of the fact that they might be dry during summer. But then, on the other hand, I’m road-tripping through a desert.

Today I’m driving from Sandy Gully to Kalbarri. It’s only about 100km, and it’s the coastline that we are checking out. Some viewpoints I want to see include; The Natural Bridge, The Eagle Gorge Lookout, The Pot Alley and the Red Bluff. I’ll also try to see other lookouts if I find the time.

An important note for me is to feel relaxed. It’s the only day when I’m not driving very far. So, quality over quantity is the main goal in today’s road-tripping life. And something that I should do more often. It’s been crazy hectic in the last five weeks. Awesome, but really from one thing to the other!
