Another Yentl As Anything Concert! | Performance

After a few mind-blowing adventures travelling through the centre of Australia, I found myself drawn back to King Island—that’s right, for the third time! My original game plan was crystal clear: wrap up one final Yentl As Anything gig as a proper send-off to the island where I’d poured in 14 months of blood, sweat, and cheese, then hop a flight out of Australia straight to New Zealand. But COVID-19 had other ideas—it flipped my world upside down and killed those trans-Tasman dreams. Instead of Kiwis and fjords, I ended up on a wildly different path (details coming later). None of that stopped us from delivering another unforgettable night of music that had the whole island buzzing!

Take a look at the killer poster below for our latest Yentl As Anything showdown. On June 26th—mere days before my second year Working Holiday Visa ticked over—we teamed up with the legends of Rusty Falcon for a massive night at the Currie Club. This freebie kicked off around 7:30 PM, Rusty Falcon owned the stage at 8:00 PM sharp, and we brought the house down starting at 9:30 PM.

Our Epic Two-Set Playlist That Rocked the Night

We pulled out all the stops with a monster two-set playlist blending high-energy rock anthems, nostalgic sing-alongs, and absolute dance-floor bangers that turned Currie Club into a full-on party zone.

Stunning Photos and Massive Shoutouts

No Yentl As Anything gig on King Island would be complete without a fresh batch of epic photos, and our go-to lens wizard Michael Laskey absolutely smashed it again—capturing every sweat-drenched riff, crowd-surfing moment, and pure electric energy. What a night! The Currie Club was absolutely heaving from first note to last, with that classic island crowd singing every word back at us.

Everyone thought this was the farewell gig, but King Island magic struck again—every visit sparks plans for the next one. I’ve got a bigger show coming up that I’ll spill in a future post, and trust me, it’s no ordinary club night. Can’t wait to share that story!

Massive love and thanks to Wade Roskam for sorting us out with the top-tier gear that made our sound massive and tight as hell. Even bigger hugs go out to my incredible bandmates for dragging me back to this magical island one more time—you absolute legends make every rehearsal and gig feel like coming home. Playing with you lot is hands-down worth crossing oceans for, every single time. Scroll down for the full photo gallery that’ll transport you right back to that unforgettable evening!
