It seems like I am not leaving yet.. | Agnes Water/1770 | Vlog 86 & 87

Agnes Water is also known as the Town of 1770. This unique name comes from its historical significance—the town was built on the second landing place in Australia where James Cook arrived in May 1770. Originally called Round Hill, named after the creek that flows through the area, the town was renamed in 1936 to honor both Agnes Water and the year 1770, recognizing its important place in the town’s history..

Throughout the area, you’ll find memorials, anchors, and historical landmarks everywhere—essential reminders of Australia’s recent history. It’s also a beautiful place with a stunning coastline. Time to explore and discover it for myself! The hostel where I’m staying, which happens to be one of the best hostels so far, even rents out bikes! Over the next few days, we’ll be exploring the Town of 1770 by bike.

It’s wonderful to experience all these beautiful parts of Australia in different ways. The coastline is absolutely fantastic, offering the best of both worlds—stunning views of rugged rocky sections alongside lovely beaches tucked in between! Plus, there are free surf lessons and a guitar available to play. Combine all of this with swimming and great hostel vibes, and you won’t want to leave! How am I supposed to continue further?

And that’s exactly what happened. I extended my stay for another two nights. Every time I plan to leave, someone convinces me to stay a little bit longer! It’s perfect because I’ve been looking for a place where I could make some friends and rest a bit. I absolutely love it here! There are so many great people, all bonding together, and everyone keeps extending their stays. Let’s see how long it takes me to leave—there’s still so much to see along the east coast!
