I shouldn’t have booked these flights.. | Cambodia to Vietnam | Vlog 17

Isn’t this crazy? Time is going so fast here. I’m completely lost with the days and dates, and it’s time for my third country on the list. Today I’m flying from Cambodia to Vietnam! Once again, I regretted planning too many things before I started to travel. It feels like I’m rushing at the moment.

Nevertheless, I still have all that energy in my body to do it. It just would have been lovely to stay that little longer in Cambodia, but we will take it as it comes 🙂 Pro tip for myself: Don’t plan too much ahead when you travel long-term. There is time enough to feel relaxed. Quality over quantity!

Cambodia to Vietnam:

Today is more than just flying from Cambodia to Vietnam. It’s only a 3-hour flight, so I took the time to say goodbye to all my friends in Phnom Penh this morning. We had breakfast together, and I checked out around 10 in the hostel. I still had plenty of time and found a local climbing centre. Since I’ve been climbing twice a week for the past year in Belgium, I was happy to spend many hours here.

A Tuk-Tuk to the airport and a plane to Vietnam, and suddenly I found myself in Ho Chi Minh. It was already dark when I got there. I took a bus to the city centre and walked to my hostel. It took me literally one minute here to make a new friend. I walked into the hostel, and there was Christoph. Christoph: a South-African guy teaching and living in Ho Chi Minh. He plans to quit his job and travel to Hanoi, so he is sleeping in the hostel. Also, living here, he knows some words in Vietnamese, and we went for dinner with the locals at a non-touristic restaurant. A good start for my Vietnam trip.
