My friend Jesse and I recently walked the Larapinta Trail in the Northern Territory, just outside Alice Springs. We captured our trip through film, photos and in a journal. I have added pictures and extracts from Jesse’s journal to experience the adventure with us. Videos will follow soon.
Lots of love, Yentl and Jesse.
Day 7: Serpentine Chalet Dam to Serpentine Gorge
Starting the day with coffee and breakfast in bed, we hit the trail around 8.30 am. At lunchtime, we reached Counts Point, which is one of the best spots on the trail so far! We had lunch and made our way then onto camp. Richard and Noel, the early birds as they are, already got there hours before us. We told them it’s probably the last time we would see them as we have different itinerary’s from here but already made a secret plan to see them again later in the walk.
Day 8: Serpentine Gorge to Ellery Creek
Despite it being only 14km’s today, it seems that they decided to go over every hill when they made the trail. We made the best of the walk by taking some extra time to create what some might refer to as cinematic genius! (You will have to wait for the videos to experience this with us). Tonight we already have our second food drop with some ciders and added goodies to boost the spirits :)
