Let It Be – The Beatles
Let It Be is a song by the English rock band the Beatles that was released as a single and (in an alternate mix) as the title track of their album Let It Be on March 6, 1970. It was credited to the Lennon-McCartney duo and written and performed by Paul McCartney. Compared to the album version, produced by Phil Spector and has a more aggressive guitar solo and the orchestral part mixed higher, the single version of the song, which George Martin made, has a gentler guitar solo and the orchestral portion mixed lower. It started its chart run at number six and eventually reached the top, giving it the highest Billboard Hot 100 debut.
