Kings Canyon in the Northern Territory

At the time of writing, I spent over two years in Australia and travelled around every state. I lived in Melbourne, worked on King Island and could not travel for a long time because of the ongoing pandemic.

Luckily, the pandemic slowed in February, and I travelled all around Tasmania. My next stop was Australia’s red centre. Jesse and I made plans for this trip 1,5 years ago after hiking the Great Ocean Walk together.

The Larapinta Trail would be the next one we walked together, and after that, we would go and drive around to Uluru and its surroundings, including Kings Canyon! We had to cancel this trip last year, and, no way we would cancel it again!

Kings Canyon:

As it happened: Shortly after hiking the 230km long Larapinta Trail in the Northern Territory, my friend Jesse and I hired a car in Alice Springs. We planned out an itinerary and the two major stops on our road trip were Kings Canyon and Uluru.

Both Jesse and I captured the whole journey through film and pictures. I’m currently editing the videos of the Larapinta, so it can be a while before the Kings Canyon video appears. However, I’m delighted to share some of our views on Kings Canyon. Photo credits go to Jesse, as she made most of them.
