My first diving course finished, and I got a Padi Open Water certification in my hands. This just came entirely out of nowhere, but I’m so happy that I did it. It was a great experience, and I’m ready to dive again soon. Another thing Cairns is famous for is rainforests. The diving course got into my budget, though, and doing a tour up north might get in the way of doing other stuff along the east coast. I asked some locals what my options are, and they suggested walking around Cairns, as the forests are similar. Being a little bit tired from the last days, I choose to take it easy and stay near Cairns. I went hiking in Mount Whitfield Park and ended up walking a 22 km trail. Not the rest day I was expecting, but I just felt like doing it.
