After catching up with friends from Belgium yesterday, this is the first full day in Perth. I’m super excited to be in Australia and started the day by checking out the Elizabeth Quay. Sydney has the Opera House and Perth the Quay. It is not comparable, I guess, but I like the design. I also think that the Quay bridge is worth mentioning as I love the structure, making for some incredible city views. Today, I planned to walk along the coastline for a while but soon ended up in different alleys, galleries, libraries, and museums. Not that I had set plans, getting lost in city’s is probably the best way to see them. They told me at the hostel to check out Perth’s bridges at night as they get beautifully lit. Listening to the advice of the other backpackers, I didn’t get disappointed. In the evening, I went back to the hostel and spent the whole evening playing chess. I’m not an expert at all, but neither were they!
